I do not understand what I'm being told here. I'm using pat v0.13.1 and direwolf v1.6 but maybe I don't have it configured correctly? Both are running on my M2 MacBook Air, what else do I need to run it with or do I need to launch YAAC at the same time?

Hi Keith,

Unfortunately there is no AX.25 support in the macOS builds. Most Pat users use the Linux kernel's ax25 stack, which is not available on your mac.

We're currently working on including a native AGWPE/Direwolf driver. You can follow the progress and read about how to test here: https://github.com/la5nta/pat/issues/367

Other options are:
* Running Pat on a Linux virtual machine
* Remotely controlling a Pat instance running on a Rasberry Pi.
* The gensio experimental fork of Pat with native ax25 support using a C library.
* The serial-tnc transport interfacing with a hardware TNC over serial ports.
