I'm a new Linux user, so bear with me.
Downloaded pat .deb i386 and installed via 'double-clicked'.
Synaptic reports the application is installed, yet clues may be in the dependency conflcts.
Entering PAT from the terminal command line reports:
bob@Notebook-PC:~$ pat
bash: /usr/bin/pat: cannot execute: required file not found

System details below.

bob@Presario-CQ62-Notebook-PC:~$ cat /etc/os-release

NAME="Linux Mint"VERSION="22.3 (Zena)"

bob@Presario-CQ62-Notebook-PC:~$ uname -a

Linux Nana-Presario-CQ62-Notebook-PC 6.17.0-29-generic #29~24.04.1-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Mon May 11 10:30:58 UTC 2 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

SYNAPTIC Package Manager:

You'd need the "amd64" deb file (even if you have an Intel CPU). i386 is only for very old 32-bit CPUs, you have a 64-bit one -- as shown in the "x86_64" tag of your "uname-a" command.

Torsten - thanks. That was it. I’m up and running PAT.
