New on the horizon: PACTOR-IP-Bridge with VARA emulation

happy new year.

I'd like to give you a preview of my current project which I was working on during the Christmas break. 

I was looking for a clever way of integrating a PACTOR listen mode into Pat. 

To achieve the listen capability, the PACTOR modem must remain in WA8DED host mode so that Pat can respond to a connection attempt. 

I decided to program a PACTOR-IP bridge that operates in the background and independently of Pat, providing two TCP sockets for Pat—similar to how VARA works.

The PACTOR-IP bridge can, of course, also be used independently of Pat.

To achieve quick results, I also implemented a "VARA Emulation Mode," which translates WA8DED commands and responses into VARA. This allows the VARA driver already written by N8JJA to be utilized.

The whole setup is now functional. Attached are four screenshots showing the current state.

I plan to write a WA8DED driver for Pat, which can then be used directly without requiring the VARA emulation.
