Config file to manage two instances of VARA FM

Hi,

I run two instances of VARA FM, each with unique port numbers (e.g. 8300 and 8370).

How to I specify two different VARA instances - which connect to two different sytems - with the "pat configure" editor.

I've seen how to manage one instance of VARA FM and one instance of VARA HF, but not seen a configuration file with two instances of VARA FM.

Your assistance with be appreciated!

Hi,

Unfortunately, we don't support that. However, you can run two Pat instances (using the same config file) and set different VARA ports using env vars. Like this:

`PAT_VARAFM_ADDR=localhost:8300 pat http and `PAT_VARAFM_ADDR=localhost:8370 pat http`.

You could also have two different config files and start Pat with `pat --config one.json http` and `pat --config two.json http`.

As long as you run the two instances with the same callsign, they will share the same mailbox.
