Hi Robert,

I've made several successful connections with vara (hf) anf the latest version of Pat (v0.16.0) over the last couple of days. No issues.

Maybe your signal is distorted or weak at the remote end for some reason? Have you tried monitoring your transmitted signal to listen for any artifacts?

The last half dozen times I have used Pat I cannot make a successful connection.  I have been using Pat for several months and have not had issues before this.

When I hit connect in Pat the radio starts transmitting (I have used two different radios with two different sound cards) after one or two transmissions the station I am trying to connect to will respond.  My station responds, the other station responds, mine responds, and then nothing from the other station, my station tries a few more times and then quits.  I have tried this with several different stations on different bands all with the same result.

I am guessing it is a Pat issue or a Vara issue has anyone seen this?
