Can Send but NOT receive emails with pat

I looked through the other conversations and none of them seemed to help.  I can send emails using telnet, but not receive anything back to pat.   Even when I check on the webmail for winlink.org, I still don't see any emails in the inbox.  I logged into winlink.org and checked my account settings, and they appear to be OK.

I did add emails to the acceptlist, and know that //WL2K might need to be used and tried that, as well, to deal with the spam filter.  That didn't fix the problem.

I then checked if the problem was related to my router.   I made sure that Port 23 (Telnet) was open.  I even tried to put the device into the DMZ with no luck.

Installed pat on a Raspberry Pi 5.   Downloaded from getpat.io, installed.  The instructions are vague - do I also need to separately install AX25, Ardop, etc. or are they already installed?   It would be nice if more details were included.  A more detailed set of instructions would be helpful.   I also did the same thing on my Mac (UNIX) and have the same problem.

A troubleshooting guide would be extremely valuable, as well.

Hoping someone can help with this problem.

Hi,

Can you please share the log output showing the exchange? That should help us narrow down the problem.

All you need to do for telnet is to install Pat and set up your account credentials. No need to configure any modem, and no need to open inbound ports in your firewall.

Once I removed the alternate email in my account (I thought it was a backup alternate address, rather than a redirected address) the telnet connection worked.

So step 1 is done, now to see if I can get it to work with RF.
