I am getting the following message when trying to display my inbox from the web GUI:

Unable to parse message (~/Library/Application Support/pat/mailbox/W4JBB/in/291ESX6X32HV.b2f): EOF

I moved several (seven) files from the inbox to a self-created directory with:

mv 291E*.* 1JV7*.* ~/Library/Application Support/pat/mailbox/W4JBB/in/MDCsection

I immediately got the above error for a single message (the error is just an example). When I went to the directory and opened the file with a text editor, the file appears to be empty and the file size says zero bytes.

In the web GUI, nothing showed in the inbox. Not even the files I didn't move.

I am almost certain I have done this before but I could be wrong.

I'm not sure what I broke. Any suggestions?

While I do not understand what happened, I have just deleted all the messages (which was all the messages - even the ones I didn't move) that were causing issues and started over.

Nope, I didn't have a backup. Thankfully, nothing was important but I will have a backup from now on. ;)
