New to Pat but not Winlink. Does Pat run on Windows XP, 7 or 10? I can't really find any installation documentation that is useful. Certainly nothing out there like there is for Linux and the Raspberry Pi.

Maybe I should save some time and just go to the Pi, but I was hoping for a program that I could run on either.

Hi Dave,

Yes, Pat does run on Windows! The release page includes a ZIP file with a Windows executable, and there's a little bit of documentation about running on Windows here. There's not yet a friendly native GUI executable for starting the program so you'll need to start it via `cmd` or powershell. Once you start it with `pat.exe http` there is a local web GUI.

Hope that helps!

Unfortunately, Pat on windows doesn't currently support hooking to a
radio. You have a couple of long term options:

Martin is working on getting AGWPE working so Pat can talk to direwolf
(or soundmodem). Patches are in the repository to support this, but
I'm not sure if there are any binaries built for this. This is
probably the best long-term option.

I have a version of Pat that has AX.25 built-in at
https://github.com/cminyard/pat/releases. (No need for direwolf.) I
don't know about long-term support on it, though, as Martin has chosen
a different direction, and that's probably for the best. There are
binaries available in the Assets section on that web page.
