I have an ICOM 756proII and an MFJ-1275 connected via a serial port to USB adapter.
I use Linux, Ubuntu 18xxx and it should be noted that JS8Call performs flawlessly with this exact setup.

When I use  "-p" I can get the radio to key when an Ardop connection is called for via the browser. I cannot get it to UN-key.

In a linux terminal, it says the following when you type "-help":
"...See the ardop documentation for more information on cat and ptt options
including when you need to use -k and -u"

Can anyone tell me where this documentation is?

All I find are the pdf files and unless I missed something...(it has happened, I'm not Commander Data)...the answers I seek are not there.

I am interested in solving my issue, so if you have advice about this issue please share it.
That said, I would like to be connected with an actual document containing the options/answers.

Hi Jerry,

Are you seeking documentation for ARDOP, hamlib (rigctld) or Pat?

It is recommended to use hamlib (rigctld) for PTT control with Pat+ARDOPc.

No problem :)

You should read through these two wiki pages explaining the gist:

Also, Jason / KM4ACK have made some great Youtube videos to help getting started with Pat and ARDOP:

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply Martin.

This is the first I heard of a third package being required.
I plan on trying it tonight.

Hi again,

You did not say which implementation of ARDOP you seeking documentation for. But here is a link to the documentation for ARDOPc: http://www.cantab.net/users/john.wiseman/Documents/ARDOPC.html.

I recommend that you contact the ARDOP authors regarding this, if you plan on using ARDOP’s built-in rigcontrol capabilities. But as mentioned, the recommended approach for Pat is to use hamlib/rigctld instead.

Sorry I can’t be of any more help. Good luck!

Sorry, it cut off the top of the last reply.
I seek ardop options for the PTT and doc on configuring it properly.
