Hi

I'm building a small Arduino/ESP32 LoRa APRS module that will also connect to win link
so far , using pat and learning about it I have made my connection also with the LoRa board to winlink

but I'm struggling with the timing of sending an instruction/message (like "L" for listing messages) and the "ack" message to make it run

(may be a bit off-topic)

as I am messing arround with winlink, a pi, and LoRa I got interested after your first line. and it took me until the part with "L" that you want to do WL2K over APRS - nice thought!

just recently found out, that my LoRa APRS Gateway is oneway gateway (HF --> IP only, but def. NO IP-HF traffic) , so maybe keep an eye on that AND that maybe not all the gateways might have that bidirectional functionality, which is essential for your approach.

in the next weeks I will go and tinker arround with KISS-TNC software for the ESP32-LoRa tracker(s) I have laying arround and a rasp-pi running a winlink-gateway (for lora access)

Hi Peter,

ich glaube du auch spricht Deutch!

1.- I've modded builded a new version of iGate LoRa which Tx and Rx and sofar there a more than 20 iGate who allready tested the Tracker Send and Receive + the iGate send and receive process
2.- this (number1) got me interested in the messaging part which works allready perfect, but when messaging just a few stations won't be able to receive the "ack" as a message/answer to them

so this is my struggle : only a few don't receive the ack and noone know why! hahaha

(tell me about the TNC + Kiss + LoRa, I've been reading about it )

I found the problem and it was all my fault as , after reading once again for 300th time the 2500 lines of code, I found the missing byte on the APRS packet which avoided the ACK to be received/sended
