This weeks GLAWN Winlink exercise asks us to create and test a group.  I've been using Pat for at least 100+ weeks  as I have my century award from Va., howeverI always wondered if Pat had an address book.  I found and populated that tonight for my regulars.  I do not see creating a group. Am I missing it or is it not there.

Below are the winlink express instructions, I am pure Mint here and Pat does all I need (as far as I know).

Optional Exercise: Create and test a Winlink Express Group. Sometimes it is necessary to send a single message to several people and having a group makes that convenient and fast. For example, I have a group for all of my immediate family members. If the internet and power and cell service are unavailable to me, I can send an email message to all of them at once to update our status. 1. Create a message group Settings +> Group Addresses => Add Group 2. Add at least 2 addresses manually by typing or by selecting them from the address book. 3. Save the Group (which will now appear in the contacts list) 4. Create a new message in Winlink Express, plain text is fine 5. To: GLAWN; add your group here. (add GLAWN even if you included it in your group just in case <smile>) 6. Subject: GLAWN Checkin 7. put your checkin data in the message box

I've never seen an addressbook in Pat. Do you use the regular Pat?

For regular nets I use custom Templates (that also fill out the
To: address; like Winlink Wednesday is a two-second-clickthrough)

Yes now I've seen your crosspost (with the actual description you
mentioned but left out in this email) on the km4ack group on groups.io.
