What it is: You know that text you typed at 1am and (hopefully) didn't send? Paste Drops is for that. Paste or dictate the angry message, and Cyclops - the app's one-eyed mascot - rewrites it into something you won't regret, then reads it aloud in a calm voice (Irish, Australian, British, American or Scottish accent, your pick). There's a running counter of disasters averted. It's free, no ads, no account, nothing stored off your device.
Limits per session: 3 gemini text to speech (TTS) conversions with flair, falls back to 3 openai TTS conversions, with a final free in app conversion which doesn't sound ideal, but the limits have to be there for now in this testing phase.
What I need: Google's new-developer rule - testers opted in for 14 continuous days before I can go to production.
How to join (2 steps, 1 minute):
Join the Google Group with your Play Store email: https://groups.google.com/g/paste-drops-testers
Opt in and install: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.pastedrops.app
What testing means: keep it installed for the 14 days and open it a few times - ideally when someone actually annoys you, that's what it's for. If anything breaks or the rewrite is bad, tell me here or at he...@pastedrops.com, I'll fix it fast.
