If I cover an element with something else, it's just stuck where it is forever. I'm forced to work from back to front and once something is overlapping that's it, that's where it belongs. I can't change it after the face unless I want to keep dragging the top element away and then remembering where I had it so I can drag it back. If I drag something off the canvas, it literally disappears into a void where it can no longer be selected, it's just gone forever. Why is there no layer control? How is this app at all functional without being able to see which things are on which layer?
So I'm working in canva and am new to the website. I'm simply trying to resize a shape but I only have the option to grab the resize handles in the corners of the shape. There are no resize handles to extend height or width independently. I've looked it up and it says to unlock the aspect ratio, but when I go to do that it's not even clickable for me, the cursor is just grey'd out. Any ideas? I have a pro account too.
I already know you an change it via user interface, even when I mess with that and have it checked to match user interface (or whatever), its just stuck as white. When I open a new doccument, its the normal dark grey I enjoy, but for some reason in one file its just stuck as white. Anyone know whats going on?
what did you do? I'm having the same problem I think. (Artboards are white, but so is the background canvas/drawing area) and it's driving me insane. I hit a hotkey by mistake and have no idea which key I've pressed. I've tried messing with document setup and turned overprint preview on and off a million times. I've tried turning the fill or stroke off and no change. I've messed with the "Transparency and Overprint Options" in the Document Setup but nothing helps. I am getting so frustrated. Please Help!
I figured it out immediately after typing this. For future people with issues, first I selected all my artboards and made sure their background was white, and not clear. Then, I had to then changed my "Preferences" > "User Interface" > and chose the "Match User Interface Brightness" option under "Canvas Color:" Then my canvas was medium dark like my interface and my artboards were white. Hope this helps.
Hit enter or click on Create New Design and you have the canvas for a 5.5x 8.5 sized book with a .65 spine. It might not look like much, but now you can upload the PNG of your template and put that into the canvas.
However, if I minimize the obsidian window, then maximize it again, the loading bar goes away. Then I see obsidian jump to random spots on the canvas (probably taking pictures?), then it successfully exports.
I noticed that my canvas said it was offline so I tried reconnecting it to the wifi. I have just moved apartments and it was not connected to the new wifi is what I figured. I followed the meural instructions about reconnecting and they did not work at all and eventually led me to attempt to rescan the QR code. Now, I cannot leave this screen. I have tried to factory reset it and it does nothing, I have attempted to just use the serial number, and it does nothing, it just says on my phone (android) "your canvas is offline" and then my canvas just goes back to the QR scan screen. I have seen some posts about similar issues with very little success in resolving similar issues but some had the luck where they got it working again.
After another factory reset it worked. Although had to do something different than other instructions. After plugging it in I had to hold the reset button. I also had to make it a different canvas on my app. Issue is resolved now though.
The above code renders the elements well, but they cannot be resized or moved around, and act static. The strange thing is that if I open and close my chrome dev-panel (using F12 or [Ctrl/CMD]+SHIFT+I twice), the canvas regains functionality and everything works again. I have some serverside stuff happening as well (this is only a mock sample of what I'm doing), but I have no idea how to further trace this down to this odd behavior. I'm using the very latest code (built from github repo). Thoughts?
It's possible that canvas internal offset is not updated properly. Something on the page could change dimensions/position, making canvas positioned at a different location than the one it was during initialization. Try calling canvas.calcOffset() after renderAll() call, or after adding those objects.
The reason calcOffset is not called in renderAll is for performance reasons. renderAll is a redraw of an entire canvas. It happens every time something changes on canvas and canvas needs to be redrawn. As you can imagine, it gets called quite often (sometimes dozens of times per second), and it would be pretty wasteful to calculate new offset every time redraw happens.
"Connection.Connected" is actually an unreliable method for Power Apps to check if you are connected to the internet or not. I believe the app is "stuck" because "Navigate()" is never called because "Patch()" is called and fails as the app believe "Connection.Connected" returns true when it's not actually connected.
NEW STUDENTS: If you have not changed your PIN# in myNWCC please go there now by clicking here. You cannot log in to canvas until you have done this. Allow 15 minutes for password changes to become effective.
Problem: You've added a video to "My Media" and the icon representing the video is stuck in the "processing" animation. As a result, you're not able to make desired edits, publish it, or watch it.
You may know that we have an integration set up between Kaltura and Zoom such that all Zoom recordings made to the cloud (when signed into Zoom with your UCSD active directory credentials) will automatically show up in "My Media" after a little while. If you find that one of these recordings is stuck processing, try downloading the recording file from Zoom and uploading it manually.
As in other projects such as the brick ball game, sometimes the brick/ball interactions "bug" each other and make the ball leave the canvas...I written this code in a way that it will "bug" right after starting the code, so you can see what I'm talking about...
Noticed if the bounce function line is changed to "this.y > height y or= canvas.size) speed*-1"Also the problem could be at ball.speed or ball.update...? :s or is this all solved with some line saying that "when the object leaves the canvas then reset it" .. thanks
This usually does the trick for uploads that get "stuck", but if the upload does not resume and finish within 2 hours, let us know at sup...@canvas.io so we can help you resolve the issue.
You could use window.innerWidth/innerHeight instead of a container (in which case do document.body.append(world.canvas); to take up the full window width. But you still have to make sure the html and body elements take up the full window using CSS.
Last week I created my first canvas app, and then promptly struggled to get it to appear in Salesforce until I found out that sessions established through frontdoor.jsp don't work with it. It did work when I created a password for my Scratch org user and authenticated with that.
The org was updated to the Summer release on the 10th of June, so prior to my earlier experiemnts and I don't think that's to blame, but I have no idea why it's failing now. Has anybody else seen this or have a working canvas app they can verify?
However, we're not currently aware of any error reported by the relevant team when uploading canvas. If the issue persists, we'd recommend contacting our specialized Artist Support team so they can help you further with any info you need.
I figured out a fix. If you make sure the video you are trying to fix is 8 seconds or less BEFORE uploading it to the canvas on mobile then it should work. The problem on my end was with the trimming I guess. So if it's already trimmed to the right size you should bypass that glitch.
I always goes the same way for creating an asset, and suddenly it doesn't work anymore. I've changed nothing at all and the requirements are all spot on. Yesterday it worked and today it doesn't anymore. For testing the issue I used the same canvas that I used yesterday, today for a different song, and it doesn't work anymore.
I have created a video under 8 seconds in 9:16 ratio and it still says it has the wrong ratio? What am I supposed to do? If I remember previous versions of canvas you could add something in any vertical
Literally every single time I upload a canvas from desktop for an upcoming release, it says the aspect ratio is incorrect. I have tried every different combination of render settings and multiple different export and conversion programs, literally none of them allow my canvas to work when uploading on desktop. However, I can seemingly upload canvases that aren't even true 9:16 from mobile. The issue I'm facing is that the mobile app does not show or allow any uploading of canvases for upcoming releases. So am I expected to be ready to upload multiple canvases the second my new release is public? Seems like a really **bleep**ing stupid oversight on the part of the dev team.
When you open a canvas, the formatting options will appear in the formatting bar at the bottom of the canvas. Use the formatting bar to insert media like clips or files, or to configure your text into lists, quotes or headings.
To notify someone directly in a canvas, mention them by using the @ symbol, followed by the member's name. As long as the canvas has been shared with the person you mention, they will receive a badge notification next to the Canvas view in their sidebar.
Members you mention in a canvas who do not have access permissions to the canvas will not be notified.
Every channel and direct message (DM) has a built-in canvas where you can store details about the conversation and the work happening there. Channel canvases can be seen by anyone with access to the channel, and DM canvases are visible only to the members of the DM.
