S8 Citizens United/ MA Amendment Hearing

Hi All,

     Joint Committee on Election Laws is holding the hearing for S8 https://malegislature.gov/Bills/194/S8 on Tuesday, April 1st at 1pm. 

 https://malegislature.gov/Events/Hearings/Detail/5113

     It is a hybrid hearing where you can testify in person or virtually. To testify virtually you need to fill out the form. Each person has 3 minutes or 10 minutes for a panel. Not sure if two people constitute a panel.

     Written testimony is also accepted but I am not sure how long it will be accepted after the hearing and before the vote. 

     They have contacts for any questions.

      If it does not come out of the committee favorably chances are slim of it being passed. Now is the time to make the effort.

      Again, until we get the corrupting influence of corporations and big money out of the political process the issues most important to you will not be resolved to your satisfaction.
