You wanted to help, now is the time, it is really needed.
We have until Wednesday when a Constitutional convention is required to happen by law(The 14th of May). All Amendments to the MA Constitution need to get a majority vote in the ConCon two sessions in a row to make it on the ballot. If this works out we could be on the ballot in 2028.
S8 came out of committee as "ought not to pass". There was no vote. My understanding is that the House side had not set its rules yet so they could not vote and S8 could not come out "favorably" because the House holds more seats in committees. The Senate side was ready to vote in favor.

What I will be doing besides that is to reach out to All legislators and show the efforts that were put forth after the Citizens United decision. 83 Massachusetts municipalities passed resolutions asking for their Representatives to vote in favor of overturning Citizens United. I will list them. Most resolutions are worded differently. Contact me for a copy of any. 54 Districts had Public Policy Questions on the ballot in 2012 and 2014. My Thanx to All involved. My testimony at the hearing was probably a bunch of frustration at them for not doing what needs to be done and here we are. Thanx to Ellen for her online testimony and all others who reached out.
What happened with the Committee confused me and I told Terra that we came out favorably at first. So sorry.
