Good day,
Passive House Canada is excited to hold its popular Tradesperson Course for the first time in the Prairies this October 22nd to 24th. It's a 3 day course.
Registration and more information can be found at the link below:
Saskatchewan Polytechnic is making classroom and lab space available for this hands-on course that features Passivhaus building assembly mock-ups, window installation exercises, as well as discussion of important building science theory.
The instructor is Marcel Studer, a Vancouver based architect and Passivhaus consultant. Marcel brings his ample experience in design and construction. Marcel established the Tradesperson Course at BCIT in Burnaby, where it is now taught as much as 8 times a year.
Local Certified Passivhaus Tradesperson, Steffen Bertelsen, has been instrumental in organizing the course and preparing teaching materials. Steffen will also teach in a supporting role and has helped adapt the course to be relevant to cold climate Saskatchewan.
Discounts are available to Passive House Canada and Saskatoon and Region Home Builders Association members.
::
I should also take the opportunity to announce the more design and theory focused Passivhaus consultant's course 120A - Passive House Design and Construction. This will take place November 7 to 10th.
::
Also I'll be travelling to the Passive House Canada Conference in Toronto October 17-18 to present on Radiance Cohousing and to hear all the other great presentations! Anyone else planning to go?
