Musharraf Supporters Alliance would like to congratulate all who took part in the successful protest in support of Gen Pervaiz Musharraf on the 16th of August Outside Pakistan High Commission, London. Everyone’s attendance and contribution is deeply appreciated. We look forward to working with all his supporters in the future.

We also as Musharraf Supporters Alliance hereby pledge our support for the former president of Pakistan General Pervaiz Musharraf against any aspersions and lies against his personality and would defend him at any forum or place possible.Gen Musharraf‘s achievements for Pakistan whether serving in the army or as the leader of Pakistan are undeniable and manipulating of facts by self serving people cannot change the reality.

Making Pakistan economically stronger from the brink of bankruptcy in 1999 left by the so called democrats of Pakistan is one achievement alone which puts his performance miles ahead of his rivals.

Saving Pakistan from bankruptcy in 1999, bringing capable people in at key positions from 1999 to 2002 which restored confidence in Pakistan and the economy and other fields started to show recovery.

Negotiating with India on Kashmir issue and coming so close to striking a peaceful deal for the Kashmir solution according to the wishes of the Kashmiri people. But more importantly the ceasefire along the LOC and the bus service these two steps ensured that ordinary Kashmiries benefited directly as thousands met their loved ones after decades, the ceasefire along the LOC meant people going about their daily livelihood near the border can do so without being at the risk of being injured or killed by Indian firing. Without this ceasefire hundreds of Kashmiries were killed or injured along with the damaged it use to cause to their property and livestock.

Apart from that we saw real essence of democracy through grass root level representation of people with local body system, empowering of women, and more representation of ethnic minorities in parliament, empowering the youth by setting eligibility of voting from 21 to 18.

Mass scale development which created millions of new jobs, from construction to IT sector, Media from 1 channel in 1999 to over 70 channels in 8 years, Telecoms rapid development, Gwadar, National Highways, Motorways, Lowari Tunnel, eradicating extremism and much more in the span of just 8 years where he had to also deal with the fall out of 9/11, almost going to war with India after the Indian parliament was attacked, dealing with anti-state elements in Baluchistan, Fata, dealing with the 2005 earthquake and much more.

To see one man achieve so much and give hope to the future generation of Pakistanis compared to the present set up who for their self interest are taking Pakistan back to the disasterious period of the 90's and their incompetence is so much that they can’t even capitalise on the good work left by the last government.

In this situation at least the British Pakistanis should not stay quiet, we once again thank all participants of the protest and inshallah will work together to see a better Pakistan, for the sake of ordinary and true Pakistanis, we should not follow or support the incompetent, self interested and corrupt group of people who have failed twice before in leading Pakistan, those who interestingly left Pakistan bankrupt but saw their own wealth in foreign accounts reach millions or perhaps billions.
