5^th Anniversary Celebration of Paschim Paaila

On the auspecious occasion of 5^th anniversary of Paschim paaila there were organized "Tree plantation" program and "Candle lightning program" on July 17, 2014. The Tree Plantation program was organized at Rastriya Shahid Smarak Park Gokarna-1, Kathmandu. Ministry of Forest supported the program by providing plants. “Rastriya shahid Shimarak Park” management committee and Ilaka forest office also supported the program by providing land for plantation and other logistics.

Likewise Candle lightning program was organized at the premises of historical Patan Durbar Square of Lalitpur. The guest for the event were Mr. Bhusan Tuladhar, Regional Technical Advisor, UN-HABITAT, Mrs. Lajana Manandhar, Executive Director, Lumanti, Ms. Pema Lakhi, Deputy General Director, NFCC and representatives from Water Aid Nepal, ENPHO along with hundreds of well-wishers of Paschim Paaila. 

Along with candles this time sky lanterns were also used in the event. The guests started lightening the lanterns followed by the candle lightening by participants.
