Carefull guysss...
Strategic Plan school has already dead since 1994, 20 years ago. Never been teachd at any sekolah MM in Jakarta. It has been replaced by Strategic MANAGEMENT. Why.?
Because Strategic PLAN stressed and focused on PLAN , therefore NO DIFFERENTIATION and could be easily COPIED and IMITATED by competitors.
ON the contrary, Strategic MANAGEMENT stressed on EXECUTION and Implementation at the organizational, group and psychological individual level, therefore, difficult to imitate...
How do we integrate PLAN a+ EXECUTION --> Execution Premium Book by Kaplan norton (2008).
The same is true in Performance Management and Strategic Management. HR people in Indonesia stressed to much on Performance Management Systems rather than Strategic MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. Differentiation and be Better are created by Strategy not Performance.
