Summary
James Min will share his extensive experience with Liferay Portal, a mature open source product with commercial support and subscription services available. Liferay Portal has been used for a variety of purposes, from internal enterprise collaboration to large scale social networking.

James has been with Liferay since 2006 working as a software engineer, course trainer, senior consultant in professional services, and engineer in sales. Currently based out of Los Angeles, he specializes in architecture assistance consultation, performance tuning & scaling, high-availability & clustering, integration points, business process analysis, identity management, cloud infrastructure, and deployment & upgrade strategies. James has worked with every release of Liferay Portal from v3.2 and up (currently v6.1).

Parking
There are several parking garages within walking distance:


The nearest are probably Parson's parking structure and the adjacent lot on the corner of Union and Pasadena Ave. On-street parking is metered, but only until 8pm. That's the least expensive parking option, but availability is limited. For rail users, the nearest Goldline Metro stop is Memorial Park, which is a few blocks east of the Idealab offices and is a great option for those coming from LA.
