RAIN
It looks like rain, playing ultimate in the rain can be loads of fun. The ground is softer, the weather is cooler, you can have awesome slides after a layout (or accidental fall), and a wet disc gives you a new excuse for bad throws or drops.
Of course, too much rain can be bad. Mudslides and torn up ultimate fields are bad. Use your judgment on how much is too much.
AVIATORS
The Aviators have just announced that they won’t have a team next year. (Insert emoji sad face). Thanks to Sean, Jason, Royce, Rudy, and all the other current and former players and coaches for all the entertainment and inspiration over the years.
I’ve loved watching you all play some elite level ultimate. You’re always welcome at Pasadena’s pickup ultimate scene.
SLACKSGIVING
(I love how autocorrect recognizes that as a word for me)
Slacksgiving is less than two weeks away. If you know Slacksgiving, all the details are below. If you don’t know, then you need to know. It is the ultimate festival of the year. Typically 100+ people, multiple games at once, more food and drink
than you can shake a stick at, and sideline shenanigans galore. Bring player and non-player friends.
This year we are having a food drive again, so bring sealed and packaged goods we can take to needy families and organizations.
