Applications and nominations for the 2018 Global Teacher Prize are now open!

It's official — the nomination and application period for the Global Teacher Prize is now open! We are very excited and looking forward to discovering and celebrating incredible teachers from around the world again. #TeachersMatter! It feels like only yesterday that Astronaut Thomas Pesquet announced Maggie MacDonnell as winner of the 2017 prize from the International Space Station. He said "all of the human journey, from the invention of the wheel to the launch of the space station, it all happened on earth. It's our only home and none of these giant leaps would have been possible without teachers." You can read more about our incredible winner here. The application and nomination period opens today and closes on 8th October 2017. The winner will be announced at the Global Education and Skills Forum in Dubai, March 2018 following the selection and celebration of the Top 50 Finalists and, following that, the Top 10 teachers!
