Reading Shir HaShirim Before Synagogue

Has anybody on this list asked a halakhic authority on whether Shir HaShirim can be read before shul instead of before Torah reading?  

For a number of COVID reasons, we are considering switching the order but as a newer (restarted) minyan have not yet setup our formal halakhic process/review.

I don't see a problem unless you do it before people recite birkhot hatorah as part of their birkhot hashachar. I suspect that is unlikely as people generally say that at home.

Query: What is the rationale for doing it _before_ shul as opposed to during or after, or as a standalone later on in the day, or not at all? Inasmuch as reading Shir HaShirim one guesses is something for which women are eligible to lead, I am not sure it is best to "downplay" this opportunity by putting it in a timeslot where only the very punctual will attend...
