Dear Founding Members and interested students,
I and a number of the officers had the pleasure of speaking with many
of you a few days ago at the Involvement Fair and we were literally
blown away by the enthusiasm and excitement you showed us for the
mission of PartnersAU!
We had an amazing turn out and I want to thank you for your interest,
and say that we are thrilled to have you with us this semester!
For those of you who didn't get the whole spiel, PartnersAU is a new
student organization that aims to engage the campus community in
student-designed service and development projects that foster
understanding and cultivate a better world in the Americas. In
addition to developing your own service and development projects, you
will have the opportunity in PartnersAU to engage in real career
networking, leadership development and professional skills training.
We have only just begun, but our mother organization, the non-profit
Partners of the Americas, has been changing live sin the Western
Hemisphere for nearly 50 years! At our campus chapter, we are looking
to build a truly democratic organization, where YOUR input matters in
helping to shape the future of this chapter and of the Americas! Do
not underestimate the power within YOU.
Come to our first general meeting, where you will be able to learn
more about the exciting semester ahead! Food and drinks will be
served and feel free to bring your friends, too! This is a great
chance to get involved with a campus group that will not only boost
your resume, but also give you the experience to back it.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday Sept. 21st at 6:00 pm in room
B17 of the East Quad Building.
We hope to see you there!

Hi Ukiah,
It's Philip Cofone from Rethinking U.S. Foreign Policy. I forgot to give you my application for PartnersAU after class on Thursday. It totally slipped my mind and I was just trying to get out of there asap. I could give it to you tomorrow sometime or wait until the general meeting on Wednesday. Whatever is best for you.

Hi Phillip,
You can just bring it your application to the meeting on Wednesday. I'm glad you are going to join up. We now have 33 members and are getting more every day, so we should be able to really get some good projects going.
