Modify column names

Hello all. I've successfully installed PartKeepr and it's looking pretty good!! The only thing we'd like to change is the name of a couple of columns STATUS and CONDITION. Not bothered if it still shows when adding the parts, but would like for it to display a different name (i.e. Service Tag and Serial Number) which would be only text. Is this doable? I've looked in the mysql and tried changing the names, but it gives loads of errors. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
