Customizing PartKeepr (Adding a couple of features)

I made some php scripts to help automate some things in PartKeepr, like remove or add inventory from parts based on a list input from my scanner and generate Mini QR codes based on part numbers.  

There are two goals that I have in mind:

  1.  I would like to add either a link to one of my scripts or have it pop open a new sub-window

  2.  Create a new area in the part details Display under the Images area that shows the QR code for the part.

I went through and searched the source.  Seems like its all created with Javascript and using various packages (all of which I am not familiar with).  Any modification I make under partkeepr-1.4.0/web/js/compiled doesn't seem to have any effect.  I was modding main2.js, main2_PartEditor.js and main2_PartDisplay_113.js and using the Part Parameter Display as a "template" to create a display for the QR section.

Is it because all the JS gets compiled into one package or similar during the setup?  I'm not quite sure where to get started for implementing some changes.  Seeing if anyone could give me some tips as a starting point to help me accomplish what I'm trying to do.

Awesome, thank you!  I missed that when looking through the wiki earlier.  

This answered most of my questions already and will read through it in more detail.
