query regarding partition finder

Hey . first time i am using partition fimder.

My first query, cfg is the base file but how to create cfg and phylip file.

i have run mega and then create nexus file. but what to do after that?

Hi there,

Most software (MEGA too, I expect) will be able to export alignments in many formats including phylip. If MEGA can't do it, the free version of Geneious can.

For the config file, please read the manual carefully. It has all the information you need. You can start with the example files in the download to help you.
