The following questions form a guide to study some more. Then you may
find the answers while studying again.
My possible questions:
1. Given a lagrangian explain how would you obtain the equation of
motion for the particle under consideration.
2. Given an equation of motion for a particle, explain how would you
obtain the lagrangian.
3. What new informatio is gained in the lagrangian after a local gauge
transformation?
4. By drawing a figure ot two, explain the great idea in the Co60
experiment for parity violation.
5. What do the Fenmann diagrams stand for?
6. Give the example of pair annihilation by using a Fenmann diagram.
7. What are the possible directions of time in a given Fenmann
diagram?
8. If you reverse the direction of the arrows in a vertex, practicaly
what does it mean in a Feymann diagram?
9. For an electron-positron-photon vertex in a Fenmann diagram what
would be the corresponding interaction lagrangian term.
10. At least How money particles are there in the universe?
11. List Pauli matrices with their components.
12. Given I1, I2, and I3, how would you define the isospin raising and
lowering operators?
13. The fact that the p-n force is an exchanage force means what for
the pions?
14. Explain the operation od T, C, P and TCP. Which one is not seen to
be violated?
15. If we wanted to see a quark seperately, and gave it more energy,
what would happen and form? What is the name of the theoretical reason
for this?
16. What is a vector current and what is an axial vector current? Give
examples.
17. How may types of symmetries do we have?
18. What are the internal symmetries?
19. List all the gauge symmetries.
20. What is the main difference between the Scrodinger and the Dirac
equation for the elecron?
