Aashiq is a 2015 Bengali romantic drama film directed by Ashok Pati and produced by Jaaz Multimedia and UK Film Production company Filmbazar Limited. The film stars Ankush Hazra and Nusrat Faria Mazhar in lead roles, and Moushumi in a supporting role. It is a remake of Telugu romantic film Ishq. The working title was Premi O Premi. It was shot entirely in the United Kingdom. It was released on 18 September 2015 in India and 25 September 2015 in Bangladesh.
The film revolves around the love story of Rahul (Ankush Hazra) and Shruti (Nusrat Faria), who belong to different families that are rivals in business. Rahul is a carefree and happy-go-lucky guy who falls in love with Shruti at first sight. Shruti, however, is engaged to Joy (Arindam Dutta), who is a rich and arrogant businessman. Rahul tries to woo Shruti and convince her to break up with Joy, but faces many obstacles from her family and Joy's henchmen. Meanwhile, Rahul's mother Arpita (Moushumi) also disapproves of their relationship and tries to separate them. Will Rahul and Shruti overcome all the hurdles and unite in the end?
The soundtrack of the film was composed by Savvy Gupta and the lyrics were written by Prasen (Prasenjit Mukherjee), Riddhi Barua, Anyaman Bannerjee & Savvy Gupta. The album consists of five songs sung by Jubin Nautiyal, Savvy & Dilshad Nahar Kona, Nakash Aziz, Mohammed Irfan & Akriti Kakkar, and Shadaab Hashmi. The songs are:
