The following tool allows you to encrypt a text with a simple offset algorithm - also known as Caesar cipher. If you are using 13 as the key, the result is similar to an rot13 encryption. If you use "guess" as the key, the algorithm tries to find the right key and decrypts the string by guessing. I also wrote a small article (with source) on how to crack caesar-cipher in an unknown context of an encrypted text.
Every good stuffed potato needs a fabulous dressing in my opinion. For this one, we went with a caesar dressing. In a jar, crack your egg and slowly incorporate the oil with an immersion blender. Then, add in your other ingredients and continue to blend. Refrigerate while you finish prepping your stuffed potato.
When your potatoes are done, you are ready to start assembling. Slice open your potatoes. Carefully scoop out the filling and place it in a bowl. Add the clarified butter, salt, and caesar dressing. This might seem extra, but trust me, it is a must do. It creates a creamy and luscious bite. Fill the potatoes back up, then top it with your salad ingredients and you are ready to eat!
Classic Caesar Salad recipe with romaine, bacon, croutons and yes - anchovies. You can leave those out if you want but then it won't be CLASSIC caesar salad, just caesar salad. If you're fine with that, I am too.
Because my homemade caesar salad recipe is going to make them the hit of the pot-luck dinner they're going to and everyone will think they're smarter and prettier and better at math than they really are on account of it. They will appear so impressive in the glow of the caesar salad that almost any number of good things could happen! They could be offered jobs, company cars ... pet monkeys! Anything is possible when you hold the recipe to this crowd favourite.
Want to make a meal of it? Add grilled chicken for a Chicken Caesar Salad. Although, weirdly, even though I like both chicken and caesar salad, I don't like them together. But you might. Most people do. They're weird like that.
I was just talking about this dressing with my mother the other day. She likes Renee's Caesar salad dressing (crap in a jar). It isn't truly awful to be fair, this homemade is just SO much better and actually tastes like caesar salad dressing. ` karen!
The original caesar salad is a hugely popular item on many restaurant menus, and for good reason! The fresh, crisp romaine lettuce and tangy, savory dressing with plenty of large, chunky croutons are a favorite of many.
I wanted to share homemade caesar salad for this installment in our Historically Hungry series since I honestly had never tried making it at home before and usually just rely on bagged salad kits from the store.
There is a little more to the story though, and it involves a lot more controversy, including the inclusion of anchovies in caesar salad dressing. Some sources say that Caesar's brother, Alex, who opened and operated his own chain of restaurants in Mexico City, added anchovies to his brother's recipe.
Like most salad dressings, homemade caesar salad dressing is made from an emulsified combination of oil, vinegar, and some seasonings. In this case, there is also a little garlic, lemon juice, mustard, Parmesan cheese, and yes, anchovies (although I've included notes for how to make this dressing without anchovies).
I don't know of a way to make it less tangy once you've already made the dressing, but the ingredients that make it tangy are the vinegar, lemon juice, and anchovies. Next time you could cut back on some of those to see if you find a more mild version that is more to your liking. But for my taste, I love the strong flavor of a classic caesar dressing!
Here is capital letter style caesar crypted message. We can simply try all possible shifts for first few words (ignoring punctuations, which is left as is). If both first words succeed we assume we cracked it. You could also use Vigenère encryption, but keeping non-letters is less simple, our Vigenère drops all non-letters (including numbers).
