Title: Office Manager
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Hours: 25 per week
Shomrai Shabbos Chevra Mishnayos (SSCM) is looking to hire an Office Manager as a permanent part time position. The Office Manager will report directly to the President and the Executive body. The individual is self-motivated and responsible to ensure that all aspects of the shul run smoothly. SSCM is an exciting and dynamic shul with a very positive work environment. This position is ideal for someone seeking permanent part time employment.
The role of the Office Manager will be to:
· Communications: Update shul website, weekly emails, weekly printed bulletins, annual calendar, information notices (i.e. shiur, sisterhood functions, levaya, etc.)
· Financial: Work with the Treasurer to prepare budgets, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Receipting, bookkeeping , etc.
· Administrative: Retrieve and return phone messages, draft letters, miscellaneous activities (banking, etc.)
· Facility Management: Book hall rentals, caterer, ordering of supplies, etc.
Candidates with the following characteristics will be considered strongly:
· Experience in bookkeeping, finances, budgeting and administrative
· Skilled in graphic design
· Self motivated with a good work ethic and exceptional people skills
· Ability to balance multiple competing priorities
· Professional appearance and demeanor
· Previous experience working for a synagogue or similar non-profit
