NCSY Canada and Torah High are seeking a Director of Development, responsible for overseeing all aspects of fund raising for NCSY Canada and Torah High. The successful candidate will strengthen and increase the financial capacity of these organizations, ensuring long-term sustainability. The successful candidate will have a proven record of meeting revenue targets and objectives. The Director of Development will be responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive development strategy which includes major gifts, community gifts, planned giving, foundations, direct mail, and the cultivation of public and private partnerships. In addition, this person will be accountable for donor stewardships, as well as building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Development will provide strategic guidance to the organization’s Regional Director, CEO, Board Members, and other lay leaders.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in fund raising in a major gift environment and/or a senior sales and marketing position.
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective fund raising and marketing strategies.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively, work independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- A University degree, CFRE qualification and/or equivalent work experience.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills a must.
- Experience at a not-for-profit or educational institution would be an asset.
- Salary commensurate with experience.
