Themewas grouped into extensions list starting from OpenCart 2 (version 2.3). Each theme can be edited product dimension, product display limited and description lenght. User can go to OpenCart Official Marketplace to buy more themes to stylize the store.

For Dark Velvet and Purple tree multivendor, I used the step by step instructions in the video here on the Purpletree's theme download site. Dark Velvet has basically the same instructions here but in text and less detailed.

Both themes downloaded as ocmod.zip files. In order to use the extensions --> installer in the OC admin, the theme needs to have ocmod.zip extensions. I saw other instructions say to extract the files to your computer then use Filezilla to upload it by clicking and dragging the files from your computer to the web host folder under catalog --> view --> themes (see here). I was able to do all the steps for a 3rd theme but it did not show up in OC admin or my site.

I need some help with this issue. I've downloaded opencart (2.1.0) and I am trying to change the theme. I've followed the instructions (control panel > settings > store > template ...) and it is supposed to be done successfully, but nothing is changing at the frontend. I have checked at my database and the config_template is set to my new theme, but I see no changes. What is happening here? How can I display the new theme?
