A freeze while in a session Is typically indicative of a network disconnect. XenApp/XenDesktop is usually fairly tolerant of slow links but a complete lack of networking will be seen as the application or desktop freezing and then you might get an error message telling you that the network connection failed. I think I would start troubleshooting by testing with another device to see if the problem persists. You may also want to test your laptop from a different location to prove that the problem is not specific to your local network. If your Citrix infrastructure is behind a Netscaler, if that netscaler is being used beyond its licensed limit, it will start dropping packets and cause similar behavior.
