Hi all,

National Park(ing) Day 2008 is Friday!

With more than 80 cities and 450 parks planned around the world, National Park(ing) Day is double-digit hours away, and I can't thank you enough for all your hard work.

Couple updates and some new links for videos and photos and an important request .

Updates

-          Safety First.

o        Please be safe and take good care of your park visitors.

o        If you are asked to shut down by the authorities please do so - we don't want a ripple effect of ill will.

o        If passers by or angry motorists heckle you, please be kind - perhaps invite them to come to the park for a relaxing moment.

-          Descriptions/Locations. If you aren't on the map - send me your location pronto. If you are on the map and the details are wrong, send me edits pronto.

-          Press. If you see a story about Park(ing) Day and you don't see it linked on the Web site, please send it my way.

-          Have a tremendous event!

I am best reached on my cell on Friday if anything comes up: 415.609.2750

San Francisco art collective REBAR first created "PARK(ing)" in 2005 to re-imagine the potential of the metered parking space. In 2006, in collaboration with TPL, REBAR founded "PARK(ing) Day": a global exploration of the creative potential of streets.
