Dear Principals,
HISD Food Services and HISD Procurement Services, as part of its
annual procurement process for food supplies, is holding a “SCHOOL
LUNCH FOOD SHOW” for potential vendors to present new food products
and ideas to the department and the community we serve. The event
will be held at Davis High School on February 1, after school from 4 –
6 p.m. We would like to extend the opportunity to each of you to
invite a parent and student representative to attend and represent
your campus. Registration is required, however, the event is open to
the public and families are encouraged to attend.
In addition to your campus representative, we welcome you to forward
this invitation to your PTA/PTO members. Registration information is
provided below and the attached flyer can be printed for
distribution. Please note that space is limited, so registrations
will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.
We look forward to having representation from your school community.
Guests will be able to sample a variety of different foods and then
rate their preferences for each product. Their input will help us
determine what particular products they would like to see menued next
year. Their participation and input will be of great value as we
continue our focus on the nutritional needs and food preferences of
the students we are so privileged to serve.
