I hope this email finds you well. I am excited to extend an invitation to you for my upcoming 2 weeks Pāḷi course (on which I have been working on for the last many months), where you will have the opportunity to delve into the rich linguistic world of Pāḷi. We will specifically read the Pāḷi suttas, which are employed by S.N. Goenka during the morning chanting in the 10-Day vipassanā courses. Whether you are a devoted practitioner, a scholar, or simply curious about the Pāḷi language (no prior Pāḷi experience necessary), this course promises to be an illuminating and rewarding experience.
Here are some key details about the course (syllabus is attached):
Comprehensive Anki Flashcard Decks: To enhance your learning experience, I have meticulously prepared a collection of 20 Anki flashcard decks (with over 1,500 entries in total), with two dedicated to each sutta. These decks will serve as valuable tools to reinforce your understanding and retention of the Pāḷi language.
Flexible Learning Options: I understand the importance of accommodating various schedules and learning preferences. Therefore, I offer two options for participation: a) Live Classes: Join us for interactive live classes conducted free of charge. Immerse yourself in real-time discussions, receive immediate feedback, and engage with fellow Pāḷi enthusiasts. b) Recorded Classes: Alternatively, opt for the recorded class package, available at a minimal charge. This option provides you with access to class recordings, Anki flashcards, an introductory course in Anki, and much more.
Course Schedule: The Pāḷi course will span from July 3rd to July 14th, with classes held each day at 19:00 CET. Each session will last approximately one and a half hours (which could potentially be longer for certain suttas, such as the Āṭānāṭiyasutta having 30 verses in total), allowing you to absorb the language at a comfortable pace and make steady progress. By the way, register even if the live classes in the middle of the night for you, for instance. If there are more than 10 people from countries east of Germany/Europe, I consider offering a second live class time.

Payment: The registration for the live classes is free of charge. There is a possibility for an upgrade for the class recordings and all the learning materials provided for a minimal charge of only 97 €.
