I will be traveling through Paris and Germany for the first times this
upcoming April. Having absolutely no knowledge about the Euro and
pricing of travel through Europe, I need some serious advice. What
does an average meal cost? Are there admission costs to museums, etc.
Any great ideas to get all of what Europe has to offer on a tight
budget, let me know!

Hello Katie,

I can supply some lists of 2/3 star paris hotels. This will at least
give you an idea of price for accommodation in central Paris.

Hope that helps

Hello Katie,

In November of 2002 my wife and I stayed at the Grand Hôtel Jeanne
d'Arc [in the Marais neighborhood, 4th arrondissement], a well-tended
hotel with thoughtfully appointed rooms, is ideally located for (and
very popular with) connoisseurs of the Marais. Rooms on the street can
be noisy until the bars close. Sixth-floor rooms have a view, and
corner rooms are wonderfully bright in the City of Light. It has a
quaint vintage 2 person elevator. Would be wise to reserve far ahead
since it is well known. (Sb 57-80, Db 80, larger twin Db 95, Tb 112,
good Qb 130, 3 rue de Jarente, Métro: St. Paul; 011-33-1-48-87-62-11,;

We stayed in the Marais district last Autumn, it was fine, just try and
eat and drink out of the shadows of the main tourist attractions. You
can get a really good food, value for money etc, a couple of streets
back from the main boulevards. Have a lovely time, its a great city.
