There's a HN meetup coming up in London on February 22nd:

Joel Spolsky will be speaking, plus it will be a good occasion to meet
London's HNer community. Maybe we can try to meet up in Paris and go
to London all together?

Good idea,

made a quick comparison just in case:
- the cheapest round trip I've found by train is around €120 (eurostar) and takes about 1h20min
- plane a/r tickets starts at €140 (easyjet) & takes 1h15.

a friend of mine will come by plane from another city, but if you live Paris area, it's train win.

Did you book a hotel for the night? Or do you have some other
accomodation?

I will probably try and take a train a little bit earlier in the day,
so I can meet up with more people over there :)

I wonder if I should check in at my hotel (10 min by bus) or go
directly to the conf since it's so packed?

I think I'll go checkin at mine because it's very close to St. Pancras but as your is opposite relative to the event I don't know ;-)
