Local Special Olympics Agency Announces Winter Sports Season

Northern Access Special Olympics is now taking registration for its
competitive Winter Sports season of Snow Shoe Racing. The season is
led by Ann Buettell and volunteers, who will train athletes and help
them grow in confidence and ability. Practices will occur on Monday
evenings, 3:30-4:30pm, at the Northland Pines Complex in Eagle River,
December 6, 2010- January 26, 2011. Athletes will have the
opportunity to participate in the Winter Games held in Wausau on
January 29-30.

If you have not done so, active athletes who would like to participate

If you are new to Special Olympics, are an individual with a cognitive
disability and would like to participate in our Snow Shoe Racing
season, please contact Kristin Beyer, Medical Records Manager, at
715.891.7064 to obtain the necessary paperwork.

All athletes must be registered by December 5, 2010.

The Northern Access Special Olympics Agency is continuously seeking
future athletes and volunteers from our area, including Crandon, Eagle
River, Land O’ Lakes, Phelps, St. Germain, Sayner, Sugar Camp, and
Three Lakes.
