Friends,
An update on the ponies that need homes. See below and there is now a ocntact number for the owner's wife and now they are not apparently free as the husband had wanted but I don't know anymore than this. worth a call to the wife if you still want one.

Hello Friends of One Heart:

It seems as if I have found my pony friends!

Yesterday I sent you notice of a pony herd in need of homes.  I had been informed several times that this herd was for free.

The owner is the wife of the recently deceased pony breeder, Henry Siemers.

My phone has rung off the wall from you and friends you forwarded the email to.

Mrs. Siemers had appealed to a neighbor and friend to help place the ponies.  I was contacted.  You were contacted.  This was after three weeks of conversations with Mrs. Siemers even while Henry, though very ill, was still alive.

Understandably she is a very tired, elderly woman who is fluxuating on her decisions.

This is what I am asking -

PLEASE forward to everyone you did yesterday and tell them the ponies are not free (at this point) and to contact the pony owner directly.   I had to turn off the One Heart Phone for the first time in 10 years due to the number of pony calls I was getting :)

It is nice to know who your pony friends are!   It has also been nice meeting pony people all around the state.   Now I have to get back to my tasks and wish Mrs. Siemers and you all the best with the pony project.

Thanks for your interest and kindness to both the ponies and Mrs. Seimers.     Liz Seimers can be reached at 641-351-9876.  She lives in Marshalltown.

Good Luck to you.
Kris"
