Greetings friends,

APCE is only a few months away. Hope you are making plans to attend....we can all brave the Chicago cold together!!

This email is a "Save the Date" invitation for you to mark your calendar and plan on attending the PARC Luncheon. It will be held on Wednesday, January 27 from 11 am to 1 pm. This will allow you time to make it back to the hotel for the next activities. We will enjoy lunch and a brief business meeting.

The lunch will be a short walk from our hotel to the Fourth Presbyterian Church. See the attachment for the complete address. I will be sending an agenda and directions soon. Your dues pay for this gathering so plan on coming. If you know of anyone who would be interested in attending and isn't a member, there will be a cost for the lunch for them....we would love to have them join us to learn more about PARC!

Let me know if you can come...I'm looking forward to seeing everyone!

Hi all, I will not be attending, as I am retiring in Dec, and our 22 yr old Resource Center will be closing. It just isn't being used enough to justify keeping it open. Tomorrow is the day I am packing up EVERYTHING that is in there and taking it to our big Presbytery meeting that we have 3x a year. The 100 churches that are still in the Presbytery get to divide it up. I do have a method of dividing it so as to be equitable.

Fortunately for me, this meeting will be held at the Oregon coast.

It will be a very emotional day for me tomorrow! Wish me luck.

Does anyone want the VHS tape of the 'Parable', the one that cost $125! when made in1964 for the Christian expo at the NY World's Fair?

Keep up the good work, fellow resource center colleagues.

I will be there though only “in the nick of time.” I am taking the certification course which will end at 12:00. The instructor is arranging things so that I can leave early enough to make it to the lunch.

Hi Maureen,

How sad that your center is closing. Unfortunately, you aren't alone. I hear of centers closing on a regular basis these days. I will pray for you tomorrow. Hope something wonderful takes the place of your hard work at your Resource Center. Best wishes!!
