The length of string when unrolling

Did you have a particular reason to assign autoExpandMaxStringLength to 8? Why isn't it 10, 16, or unlimited? Here:

String unrolling generates quite a bit of code, so there is, as often, a space/time tradeoff to be made.
The hard limit right now is the maximum JVM method size, I don't know after how many unrolled characters things will start to crumble, probably a few 1000.
