Yoel/Joel 2: 32 tells of Yahweh promising a deliverance to those who call upon His Name. So this tells of our Creator being willing to deliver those, at some time. And, the immediately preceding verse tells of the time. It is fitting that the events of verse 32 apply sometime shortly before the events of v 31. Remnant even means "an escaped set" (of people).
Lukas/Luke tells of another of Yahweh's promises at 21: 36. This is a particularly simple statement of promise of a possible escape from all the terrible developments to come to pass during the end of this age. Notice there, the word "all".
Tehillim/Psalms 4: 8 tells of David's faith in Yahweh providing protection from his, David's, enemy.
We read of our predecessor brethren being provided escape at Ma'aseh/Acts 5: 17 - , when the prison doors were opened for them, and they were led forth.
Yet we are also taught that some of Yashua's true followers were allowed to suffer in death at Ibrim/Hebrews 11: 36 -, according to the Potter's will for His desired finished vessel.
And does not Lukas use the phrase " accounted worthy", as if there must be a standard, a requirement ? But are we not accounted worthy by the sacrifice and payment of Yashua Savior at Romiyim/Romans 6: 23 ?
Hazon/Revelation 3: 10 is a strong, pellucid promise. And it too, carries a requirement.
So we see encouragement for the immediate future from our Mighty One. Yahweh is full of mercy. He has freely given of His pardon and mercy to all who have turned turn to Him, and called upon His Name. He promises the same for some, or all, who do the same, before the imminent coming time of trouble. May we all be blessed with His protection to His Assembly, by boarding the 21st century "wings of a great eagle", Hazon/Revelation 12: 14. May we all be accounted worthy to flee into the wilderness, where there will be a place prepared, Hazon 12: 6. May we all dwell in the shadow of the Almighty.
