Thank you for sending the info on speculative car propellant. The speculators gave no specific energy requirements. Changing the air tanks will require far more machinery and auto weight than a gasoline filler tube and nozzle. (The average age of a US legal citizen is ageing ). The same energy will be required originally compress the fuel air, as that same air can deliver to propel the car. There went the savings. They didn't show the math of how many tanked/compressed cubic feet of air is required to move the vehicle 10 miles. I believe their audience would be amazed at the volume. These speculators have something in common with Eric Van Deniken: they're only moving all the questions back to another place. If we're going to power the cars using compressed air, we go right back to the same problems of needing some type of motor to do the compressing, instead of doing that same operation in the auto motor in the first place. I can imagine a lot of auto engineers saying the idea is as basic as ever, and doesn't solve a problem, but creates a few. And mostly, would require changing tanks in return for a relatively very short range distance. How much energy/maintenance is required to change the tanks? What extra framing is required to secure them? What is the weight of the tanks each? How many required to drive/whoosh to the store and to work? What will power the compressor? --now here is an advantage. -power the compressor using electrodes! But, of going that route, and that IS the route-  just eliminate the compressor, and simply power the Car using electricity. And herein lies the solution. Electric bikes abound today. No reason electric cars couldn't also. Except. Gasoline is the best fuel for longer distances, whatever the electric cannot provide efficiently. Type: YouTube, electric motorcycles. Compressed air only follows o Eric V.
