Shalom to All,
A brother in the faith recently requested the Hebrew font I use in
articles.
The Hebrew font used is the OLBHeb, the one used in the Online
Bible software program (by Larry Pierce). Larry told me many years
back I could use it freely.
I since discovered that fonts cannot be copyrighted:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intellectual_property_protection_of_typefacesLet me know if any of you understand otherwise.
Anyway, I like Online Bible Hebrew font (OLBHeb), not only for its looks,
but also for its ease of use.
Since Hebrew goes from right to left, most Hebrew fonts take you
"the other way" when you once get "inside" the word to edit/highlight/delete
letters and such. That was always very frustrating to me, even with
considerable typing/editing experience. The OLBHeb TTF (true type font)
does not play that mixed up game.
Also attached is the Paleobora font and the OLBGrk font, in case these
will be of interest/use to anyone.
Finally, if the OLBHeb font is something you wish to learn to use, a
pdf file was made to show you the keys that give each of the Hebrew letters.
May YHWH be Magnified,
Craig
P.S. For those who may not realize: if you build documents using this font in
MS Word and then e-mail that file to someone who does not have the font,
it will revert back to the English letters. This is why I save my files as pdf
before mailing out.
