Hi All,

My name is Trina Joshi. I have been getting some e-mails from the members of this group regarding a demand raised by Paramount for the payment of some "service tax". I thank you all and appreciate your concern for one another. You all have done a great job by creating this group.

I did receive a similar letter from Paramount on Novermber 30, 2012, which required me to pay some service tax that, according to their records, had never been paid before. In my eyes, this demand is completely illegitimate as my records clearly speak the truth. All the demand letters that I have received from Paramount ever since I booked my property in Floraville, reflect the break up that INCLUDES the service tax. So I am still trying to wrap my head around this latest serivce tax demand. Could I request one of our group members to throw some light on which service tax Paramount is talking about?

I know that this demand has already been revoked by Paramount, but the language of their letter is strikingly ambiguous. It says, "wait until we send a revised demand letter". Why should there by any new demand letter when I have already paid them my last due accroding to the demand that was raised in September this year?

I don't know if all of us have the same concern as some of us are saying that Paramount is right and that if we did not pay the service tax, we would be held liable. Please advise.

Also, what should we do if Paramount reverted to us with their 'revised' letter asking for some new payment? According to my records, I don't owe them anything after their LAST demand raised in September 2012.
