Hi Kavya,

The question is not about the interest. The issue and concern is about how much interest it should be?

Also the builder has never disclosed any interest amount in the previous demand letters and now all of a sudden it has sent the demand that is unplanned. Even if we will be ready to pay any outstanding and the interest, then the problem is how this interest figure is calculated? Moreover as the builder has not given proper time for the same it will not be easy to manage to pay this amount in such a short notice.

And what is the guarantee that the builder will not send such unjustified demands in future?

As per me this can create dispute and our possession can delay if builder or we go to court.

I need my flat on time and will pay all agreed payments define in agreement.

I totally agree with you. If we are liable to pay anything we would definitely pay but not the unnecessary demand. When my last demand letter came , I paid all the dues then how come I get one more demand letter for some service tax when I am paid my service tax earlier. We need to get clarity in a positive manner which should not impact on progress of construction.
I also agree with you that we should not go negatively and unnecessary the construction work would be on hold.
We all know our laws where interpretation can by anything.
I also want my flat on time. I can accept some delay but I need the ready flat.

I suggest we should aim the construction to be completed on time and we all should get our dream home. Paramount is a good builder and his construction in whole area is the fastest.I am not saying we should keep quit but we should get the clarity and close the issue.

There is no harm to meet them and get the proper clarifications for the same. All of us want to get the possession ASAP but that doesn’t mean we should pay whatever they say and whenever the say, I am sure the builder also don’t want to create his picture as a blackmailer saying “you pay what I said or I’ll delay your possession”. I personally feel that it’s always better to talk and sorted out the things rather than assuming on our own. If nothing is shady then they must give us appropriate proof for charging such interests.

As per agreement my interest is OK. and as per agreement i am liable to pay all payments on time irrespective that i got demand letter  or not.

 

As per me this can create dispute and our possession can delay if builder or we go to court.

 

I need my flat on time and will pay all agreed payments define in agreement.

As per agreement my interest is OK. and as per agreement i am liable to pay all payments on time irrespective that i got demand letter  or not.


As per me this can create dispute and our possession can delay if builder or we go to court.


I need my flat on time and will pay all agreed payments define in agreement.

Please don’t feel offended but nobody here is sure about the calculations of this new demand came to all of us. Are you sure that they won’t come back to us with similar demands like this in future? There is no harm to meet them and get the proper clarifications for the same. All of us want to get the possession ASAP but that doesn’t mean we should pay whatever they say and whenever the say, I am sure the builder also don’t want to create his picture as a blackmailer saying “you pay what I said or I’ll delay your possession”. I personally feel that it’s always better to talk and sorted out the things rather than assuming on our own. If nothing is shady then they must give us appropriate proof for charging such interests.

What benefit you can get by manipulating simple facts and using actual buyers?

 

As per agreement my interest is OK. and as per agreement i am liable to pay all payments on time irrespective that i got demand letter  or not.

 

As per me this can create dispute and our possession can delay if builder or we go to court.

 

I need my flat on time and will pay all agreed payments define in agreement.

You both are right, no one is asking paramount not to calculate interest, but the point is why they have not yet disclosed, at least most of the people must had given at that time only, but this because huge, as interest on interest, may be in next installment when previous have some balance, we must have cleared in nest installments. 

Many times there is a delay from their side, I have requested my demand letter near about 5 times, and because of this few days was delayed. not amount they are asking in 41000/- surly there is a calculation error, 

There are so many calculation error, please go check and get it rectified.

Guys this is our future house/home, just be careful and make sure you do not pay extra, also if this is your own fault please pay and settle.

no one can afford delay in this good project . . ..any delay will be surly our loss.
