How can a computer glitch lead to so many of us getting such letters???

You cant even say that the glitch happened only in your case...

And then suddenly all their phones became dead...

And the one person (some Mr Chand) decided to visit their office and felt so right and paid them the amount also and they did not find the glitch then!!!!

Dont buy this one!

I too received the same email from paramount. I am sure it was a well planned thought but it went wrong. They were justifying their demand through unjustified reason. I think they never thought we all we'll come together and fight back and won't hesitate to take legal action.

Anyway lets wait for the next demand letter.

I don't buy it either. However I never said that this goofup is only in my case.

The guy Deepak seems to be an insider for them and I can't believe in his words. May be he has spare money to part with somebody so easily.

Also he used the individual email ids to send his mail and that is possible to get only from Paramount records.

Anyways its battle won but war remains. Hope our collective effort would take us really far to face these challenges.

Dear all, My case was a bit different . I had got the letter demanding payment for balance payable , service tax and interest . I too had waited for some reply from Paramount . But alas that was not to come . Since I had not paid the service tax portion I had some balance to be paid and it is payable . So I had to pay the balance & s/tax. But in respect of interest I am on the same page as others. Though some of us hv recvd some reply from Paramount I am yet to hear anything. Let's hv a joint strategy towards the action plan for the interest issue which is common to all irrespective of the amount . Rgds/Arun D Rozario MMTC Mumbai.

I think only those who have booked their flat before Sep 2010 will get a revised demand letter. That's what builder told me when I spoke to them.

Can anyone confirm if he/she has got any email about new demand even if he/she has booked the flat after Sep 2010?

I think we have digressed from the core issue completely. While I understand the concern everyone has around interest charges, I think the demand itself is fraudulent since the complex is nowhere close to "Start of Finishing". Now it is quite possible that Paramount wants to play around the definition of the word "finishing" to collect payment months in advance, but if we all get together and push back, this demand itself can be withdrawn. 

I have already informed them in writing to withdraw the demand or prove that they have started finishing the flat and defined finishing based on 5 specific tasks that need to be complete on the project. I'm posting that letter here in a separate email.

Dear Vikram, We have all paid the money to the builder. In the finishing stage the money to be recd by the builder is the lowest and his expense is the highest so very cunningly they take the money for start of finishing much earlier than it actually happens. Even the home loan bank branch does not do nothing until specific requests are made. Also there is a huge problem I have been to the site several times but not allowed to go inside stating safety issues so none of us know about the progress of the house. Looking at it from outside may just tell us the brick work is complete but whether anything has started as far as interiors are concerned. Also have a suggestion to the group we should evaluate the option of going legal at a later stage if he delays poccession becoz then the consumer court takes a very strict view of it and penalizes the builder quite severely eg of which is the court case by DLF residents against DLF which had to pay huge penalty to each allotee. 1. When I went for this project, I was told that Mr Mukesh Agarwal (Owner) is very honest man and he want to make this project a flagship project in Noida. One very senior person in this company was / is my friend..

2. Now after their unjustified decisions... I feel this paramount group is cheater and we should not believe them at all...Though most of builders are like that only.. Owner is taking his own un-justified and un-ethical decisions.. Employees are feeling helpless..and cannot do anything..even if they are convinced that these steps are not ethical..

3. Some time back He has stopped transfer as well..In our agreement (group booking-25 flats) it was clearly mentioned that 1st transfer will be free.. but now they are demanding 6 lacs from me.. and not giving anything in writing.. I have sent a speed post regarding that matter .. but no reply.. and as we all are busy.. so I am not getting time to send a legal notice..

4. Now also this letter is deliberate and not a mistake.. depending on reaction from all groups.. they might be taking some corrective steps now... But one thing is clear..they are not ethical and we should crticise and do whatever we can do t bring paramount's reputation down. Though it will be a loss for us as well ..but such builders and such practices should be opposed..

 

Best method can be ..if we can bring some news channel / media people.. and then go together..

I think they have made a plan to make us fool. Still I don't know what is going on.

When ever I called paramount office they are not picking my calls.

Tommrow I will visit the site and I will see what is going on aroud 12.15pm
