Sri Paramahansa Yogananda was born (Jan 5 1893- March 7, 1952) in Gorakhpur, India. In 1920, Yogananda served as India's delegate to an International Congress of religious leaders in Boston. He founded Self-Realization Fellowship/Yogoda Satsanga Society of India to teach Kriya Yoga Meditation.
